Established in 2019, GIC was incepted to foster & support rural entrepreneurship, so that every villager is self-sufficient. Focusing on the most disadvantaged sections of society, GIC connects startups to appropriate technologies, ultimately enhancing the quality of life in rural India. Backed by Bhagavatula Charitable Trust, GIC keeps in mind the changing milieu of rural India especially in the erstwhile Visakhapatnam district.
Responding to the emerging needs, GIC focuses primarily on promoting entrepreneurship amongst women especially over 35 years and people with disabilities.
GIC is recognized by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), New Delhi as “Center of Excellence” in Agri-Tech under Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs 2. 0
A non-profit, non-sectarian social service organisation, BCT has been involved in transforming rural and tribal Andhra Pradesh since 1976. One of the largest rural community development organisations in India, BCT is widely recognized for its contribution in rural education, sustainable development, agriculture and other areas. Its work has substantially improved & impacted the quality of life for people in rural Andhra Pradesh, especially those around Visakhapatnam over the past 46 years.
