Inaugural Function

Grameena Incubation Center (GIC) is working towards promotion of entrepreneurship amongst women, people with disabilities and youth in rural areas.

GIC focuses on creating a model of entrepreneurial training to help rural women with micro and small enterprises scale up their business by providing them with mentoring, training and possible financial assistance. 

GIC was inaugurated on 9th March, 2020 at BCT Eco-Rejuvenation Center, Haripuram, Visakhapatnam

GIC has started a pilot project before the COVID lockdown to access the interest women entrepreneurs have to improve their business.

Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), New Delhihas given a Center of Excellence on Agriculture and Technology for Grameena Incubation Center. This is to look at how technologies for small and marginal farmers can be introduced for assist them in their agricultural operations.

GIC is backed by Bhagavatula Charitable Trust  (BCT).
